The vast majority of Eamonn’s writing life has been based on and informed by living in the Greater Middle East.


He has written for dozens of publications about the politics, economics, history and religion of the region - and never underestimates the human factor.


Non-journalistic assignments have included work on the award-winning "Sahara Overland" guide;

Encyclopaedia of African History” - “an essential reference resource” (Library Journal);

and “Meetings With Remarkable Muslims” - “Every political leader in the western world should be forced to read this book.”

Eamonn is also working on a personal account of his trans-continental journey across North Africa and the Sahara, provisionally entitled, Colonel Gaddafi's Tailor and Other Encounters From Cairo to Casablanca.
